The Hampden Meadows Elementary School Student Council hosted "Paws for a Purpose" in March and April to benefit the Hotel for Homeless Dogs, a rescue shelter in Cumberland, Rhode Island! 🦴🥎
They collected 287 donations of leashes, collars, treats, bones, toys, dog beds, food, blankets, and cleaning supplies! Students in Mrs. Cabral's 4th grade class even made homemade dog blankets as a class activity for Paws for a Purpose! 🐩
This week, Student Council members delivered the donations to the Hotel for Homeless Dogs. Students organized the donations, made homemade dog treats, bagged treats for volunteer dog walkers, toured the shelter, fed the dogs, and played with puppies! Students even got to see one puppy get adopted! 💛
There are currently 80 dogs waiting patiently to meet their forever families at the Hotel for Homeless Dogs. Great work helping the community, HMS!
