Yearbook Boosters: Want to congratulate your child on a successful year? Want to thank a special adult at Sowams? The boosters are the way to do it! Boosters are on sale March 3rd through March 21st. More information about the boosters can be found here.
Author Visit: On March 13, authors Haley and John Rocco will be visiting our school. Please see this notice if you are interested in having a book signed for your child.
Kids Heart Challenge: Once again this year, during our physical education classes, our students will be participating in the Heart Association’s Kids Heart Challenge. This is a way for our students to learn healthy activities while helping out a good cause. More information about this may be found here.

Sweetheart Dance: Get ready to dance, play, and party at this year's 2025 Sweetheart Dance - Beach Party Edition. Friday, May 9th from 6-8pm. Dress up or dress down and come ready for a night of fun, laughter and tropical vibes. See flyer for detail. Please plan to bring ONE special person due to capacity limits. Third Grade Reception: We are looking for volunteers to assist with the planning for our Third Grade Reception. The Reception is our way of saying good bye to our third graders are they head off to Hampden Meadows or another school. If you are interested in helping out, you may sign up here.
PTO Family Event at URI Basketball Game: The PTO will be heading to a URI men’s basketball game this Saturday, March 8, 2025. Tickets may be purchased here.

March No School Days: There is no school for students on March 24, 2025 (professional development day for faculty and staff) and March 31, 2025 (in honor of Eid Al-Fitr).
