BMS Proficiencies:

At Barrington Middle School, proficiencies are administered in Math, Humanities/ELA (Writing), Humanities/Social Studies (Reading), and Science.

Proficiencies measure year-end major concepts and skills for each grade-level. Proficiency data provides teachers with an overview of how well students are doing with grasping grade-level standards/skills.

Proficiencies are designed to be completed in one class period and typically do not require students to prepare outside of school.

Proficiency data may be used to help determine whether or not a student is recommended for our summer bridge learning program.

Please see the following link for more important information about BMS Proficiencies and how to access these important scores.
