RICAS Update:

We begin RICAS testing next week. Our ELA testing will take place as a whole school on Tuesday, April 8th and Wednesday, April 9th. Please make every effort to ensure that your student is in school and on time both days. All students will begin testing promptly at 8:45am. Remind your student to fully charge their chromebook the night before. Encourage your student to go to bed on time the night before each test day so that they are ready to put forth their best effort. Students are allowed to read a book when they finish the test each day, so they may bring a book from home if they have one.

Sports Night Donations and Volunteers:

This Friday, April 4, 2025 we will be having a Sports Night. Part of the success of Sports Night is food donations from parents. If you are able to contribute/donate, please see the form below:

News from Mrs. Johnson, Student Assistance Counselor:

“National Drug Take Back Day” is the last day of the months of April and October (Saturday, April 26!). According to the RI Student Survey, only 4% of high school student respondents in 2024 said they ever took a prescription drug not prescribed to them. Where/how are they accessing those substances?  23% of those who used a drug not prescribed to them, “took from someone.” That may well mean taking from a medicine cabinet, which is why we want adults to clean out the cabinets of expired or no longer needed medicines.  National Drug Take Back Day encourages adults to dispose of unneeded drugs in the correct way- NOT flushed down the toilet or thrown in the trash. A bin is available at the Barrington Police Station on Federal Rd.
