Teacher Resource Center

 At Barrington High School, we are fortunate to have a diverse, knowledgeable faculty who work together for common solutions and best practices. When it comes to differentiating instruction, we can use support from our colleagues. Additionally, roadblocks in our students' understanding require efficient, supportive intervention. Though our online resources, we hope to be available to you and your convenience. Whether during common planning or after-school, these resources can direct you towards meaninful research, effective strategies, and the latest professional development offered by the Literacy Team.

We welcome your feedback and would appreciate any questions that you may have regarding these resources. You may also contact us by e-mail if you have a more specific concern where we can offer support.

Below, we are piloting a local Understanding By Design (Wiggins and McTighe) community database demonstrating best practices in literacy for all four content areas. We would love to add your lessons to our growing pool of instruction. Please feel free to post a lesson plan using the "backward design" model by click on the "Fill Out This Form" button below, or contact us if you would prefer to have us upload your material. You are welcome to click on any of the current lesson plans as models of differentiated instruction.
